What is a 3x7 ladder?

A 3x7 ladder is a three-part aluminum ladder in which each section has 7 rungs. The designation "3x7" therefore refers to the number of segments (3) and the number of rungs in each segment (7). This type of ladder belongs to the group of multi-purpose ladders because it can be set up in several configurations – as a leaning ladder, free-standing (step ladder), or – after complete extension – as a long leaning ladder.
